Is it possible to bake a MoGraph Tracer object? The only way I’ve discovered how to do this is export the Tracer out as an Alembic file and re-import it back in, as explained in this tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=63kzWcjLtkA
It’s just odd that you can’t do it with a MoGraph Cache tag.

Hi Matt,

Have a look at this one minute clip:
https://www.amazon.com/clouddrive/share/JbOYZy5l0Yb7TaCuVYi4ErnwYdxEcxL0XprrEC00NNb

The Tracer produces by default for each frame one “point” in the spline, for each spline.
You can make it editable, preferable with a copy, and then use a MoSpline to recreate the Tracer.

If you like to have only a few frames, then use the Start or End as well as the Offset parameter to your liking.
Any change needed, Run the tracer again, edit the copy, replace the spline in the MoSpline and done.

Use the MoSpline in the project as it would have been the Tracer.
As it runs from start to end, the 0-100% of the MoSpline “End” parameter needs to be set up as linear, not spline nor step as key interpolation.

Please note that I have placed a 0.001% into the offset; The precision for the End parameter increases tremendously.

I hope that works for your project.

All the best
