Multiple Cap and Rounding Selections for material

I know how to have a material that applies to a rounding or a cap by putting “C2” or “R2” in the selection textbox, BUT, how do I apply multiple selections using this technique?  IE “R2+C2” or “R2; C2;”??
Thanks!

Hi SethO,

I’m not aware of a multiple selection option for that, other than to use multiple Texture Tags with the same Material in it, while each has one “selection” in it.

Perhaps you create a suggestion, as it is certainly a good idea:

(If you don’t change the Primitive’s segment count, you can most of the time harvest from an editable copy the selection or in some cases even from the Correction Deformer.)

All the best

P.S.: Please have a look here,

https://www.cineversity.com/vidplaytut/cv-parametric_selection_tag_tour_and_reference

This is something very special (I’m really excited about), and it allows perhaps exactly what you like to do, with a few clicks, but with a much lower population in the Object Manager after all.

ENJOY.

Hi Dr. Sassi,

I did watch this and, like you I am excited to try it. How do you actually generate the Python Tag? I can’t find it in the usual places.

Cheers,
Steve

Hi Steve,

You have seen this tutorial?
https://www.cineversity.com/vidplaylist/cv-parametric_selection_tag/cv-parametric_selection_tag_download_and_install

There is an option to download the scene file.
