I was wanting to buy a new lap top computer, so I can design buildings wherever I go.
How much would a lap top cost? And I mean a PC that’s suitable for designing a nicely detailed building.
I’ll be using hypernurbs.

I might have asked this years ago, I can’t remember.  But technology is always changing and improving.  Therefore it may be possible and much cheaper than it used to be.  Maybe I should wait a few more years before considering getting a new lap top.

Hi Jamestown,

Since I’m exclusive on one platform since I stopped producing Multimedia nearly two decades ago, I’m certainly biased. The market is anyway changing fast.
My only tip would be, besides getting max. RAM, get the largest screen with the best resolution, and as ususal, these days the GPU might get more and more critical than CPU, long story and I’m not here to talk about gear and OS.

So, I will stop here:

My tip is to check this site and google result for Cinebench

https://www.maxon.net/en/products/cinebench/

This is more of an average performance indicator, but it helps certainly to get some ideas.

Good luck
