Hello World, hello Help, hello Dr.Sassi.

so first i need align to spline so that the object(Sphere) follows the spline(Cylinder.Spline)
then i need a deformer to change the shape of the spline in this example i use the Bend-deformer!
but when the spline has an deformation the sphere will not follow the deformed spline and i dont now why!
This is also when using a surface-deformer or when the spline is “bind”

What did i miss?!

attachment done with r17

Thanks

Hi FIFTYEIGHT,

Please check out the three files:

https://www.amazon.com/clouddrive/share/xnnEXqjGEgdDo5gyPeSDawRGfAfS3C7zo9LUJbx6UxB?ref_=cd_ph_share_link_copy

(All three are tested as well in R17)

They are all based on MoGraph, to get this working.

If you think that should work without, and it is a technical problem, please contact the support. My idea is that is wasn’t possible so far with the Align to Spline, nor via XPresso and the Spline Node. Perhaps the support has a better idea.

All the best

Hi Walter,

Yes, sorry that there is no other way (AFAIK). As mentioned, I tried even XPresso and set the Priority absolutely high, no result. The Align to Spline ignores the Deformer, as sibling or as child set up.

If the MoSpline is set to Spline it will generate the needed information depth, and then Align to Spline will work just fine. IF your test do not work for you, please let me know what the set up is that you need to get working.

Have a great weekend
