Is there a way to simplify this xpresso setup? It would be nice not to have to have so many duplicate nodes.

Thanks,
Matt

Hi Matt,

Sorry, the attachment system isn’t working.
I have sent an upload link. I will get an alert when the file is uploaded.

Sorry about the extra work.

Cheers

Matt,

Thanks for your upload. I have explored your file, but I’m not clear about a few things.

Do you use a proportional font of a fixed spaced one?

Since your range seems to be defined, why not multiply it by ten and have the decimal point just as a fixed object, it the font is evenly spaced. Then set the Text to ‘right” and done. (I don’t have the seven-segment font currently installed, and I doubt I would have the same.)

Either way, I will look into it when I have your reply, and try to streamline it.

Please note that you could create an XPool and store it, then drag it in whenever you need it again.

All the best

Hi Dr. Sassi,

This is where I got the font: https://www.dafont.com/digital-7.font

Matt,

Fixed space would be the “digital-7 (mono).ttf”. They have both types on the side. So I really don’t know what you have in your set up. A real seven digit has a fixed (as in equal) space among all numbers.

Cheers

Yeah haha I followed a tutorial online for creating this, and I think it would have been much easier to just use your approach. Oh well I suppose!

Matt,

Here is the very much simplified version of your idea. I hope that works for your project.

Here is a short screen capture:

From 13 nodes down to three, whereby two are just give and get.

Let me know if there is anything else.

Cheers
