PROBLEM WITH TEXTURING OBJECT UNDER VORONOI

Hi everybody,
I got a problem with an alphanmapped planar texture under a voronoi object.

The “Surface only” and “Surface Thickness” seem to trigger the problem.
My object is an egg with a base texture and a planar mapped/ alpha-logo applied.
The logo should be on front only so I add a polyselection to the alphatexture material.
As soon as I enable the “surface only”-option my logo dissapears.
(btw: I needed to assgin the texture to the gemometry directly to ensure a proper
breaking of the mapped texture.)

Whats the workaround to keep a proper breaking alphamap and thickness to the pieces?
Thanks in advance
Mark

...USER ERROR (as mostly)...

finally figured out my egg that was made out of a lathe nurbs had flipped normals.
Tried to delete my thread, but this seems not to be supported.
Thanks for looking anyways!

Hi Mark,

Thanks for the update. No further actions needed.

Hey Sassi,
thanks for checking in! Wish you a great year!
Attaching scenefile didnt work here as last time. I’m on safari/Mac. :/
Maybe next time attaching will work, as I’m switching to a windowsmachine
to have acces to GPU rendering engines, mixed feelings but a perspective at least wink

Happy New Year to you as well, Mark, thank you.

Yes, Safari has given me a lot of grief lately, not only here. I use Chrome for social media and Cineversity, which helps me to have things even more organized, by using two browsers. “When life gives you lemons…”

Anyway, thanks for your try. As usual, it is nearly no work to set up an upload link, if you like to stay with Safari. I’m always happy to do that.

Cheers
