Temporary Serial Number??

I locked in my R20 purchase on September 5th, installed, and registered with the serial # provided. I thought I was all set and didn’t realize the serial # I was given was “temporary” with an expiry date. 91 days later I am finding that my software is nonfunctional and that my serial number is useless.
I’ve contacted Maxon about this but haven’t heard back yet. I’m extremely apprehensive at this point. What should I expect now? Is Maxon good about fixing this kind of stuff? Am I going to lose my software on a weirdo loophole? I really, really can’t afford this.

Perhaps your e-mail spam folder is already cleared for that time (while you have had registered), but perhaps it is worth the time to check.

Like you said, they got back to me right away and I’m up and running. All I had to do was go to Maxon’s registration page & enter the expired serial # I already had. My permanent serial # arrived within minutes.
Something about the wording of that initial email really had me hearing “you’re too late, shoulda registered when the fine print told you to, nothing we can do now.” Guess that says something about the caliber of companies I’m used to dealing with. Whew!

I’m glad everything worked out to your liking! … and yes, I certainly understand your feeling, but as you have experienced, Maxon has certainly their preferences in the right spot.
