Question about using push apart effector to avoid clone intersections

Let’s say I have bunch of cubes randomly distributed on a surface on sphere. The cloner in surface mode give me exactly that.

Now I don’t want the clones to intersect with each other. So I tried using the push apart effector. This doesn’t give me the result I want because now the pushed clones don’t lie on sphere anymore.

How do I get the push apart effector to constrain the clones to the underlying sphere’s surface.

Is this possible? Or am I doing something wrong?

Hi zulu85,

The simplest way to do this is to just “overpopulate” the surface and set the Push-Apart to Hide. What is left what you are after.
