Hi thanulee.

In the export settings you will find a “Visibility” check box. Same in the import settings. To get them checked by default, go to the Preferences [CMD + e]

All the best

Thanks for the feedback,  thanulee,

Another case where I feel that avoiding to ask for a scene file will waste time.

The manual tells this is true for the Green or Red dots in the Object manager. Visibility for editor or render. Those can be animated in the Attribute Manager, while the object is selected. The Display tag was not mentioned in the manual, but it works here [R20] if set to 0% for invisible. Anything above, will switch the visibility as it would be 100%. Nothing in between is possible.
Just to be complete, I tested the Cloner/Plain Effector Visibility option, and that is not exported.

If there is any other question, please with an scene file, no 3rd party parts, e.g., renderer, plug in, presets. Thanks

All the best

You’re very welcome, thanulee. Not silly at all, it is how it works occasionally, too many options and sometimes we can’t see the the single (perhaps obvious to one) details. I guess everyone gets there from time to time.

Enjoy.
